I recently saw it climb up the Steam charts, with the latest figure topping 500K copies sold. That caught my eye. But more than raw popularity, I was intrigued by the idea of a game with a bit of Terraria

Bigger jumps, no gravity, faster running, a dash, a grappling hook, unique weapons etc. Even when these items don't offer a mechanical change, they often combine with other Core Keeper Gameplay items that do, leading to a more enjoyable exploration and feeling of progression. It is this sense of progression that makes up for the fact that it has a similar mining system to core keeper's. But no such equivalent exists for core keeper, and it is disappointing to unlock the next tier of pickaxe when the only thing you're looking forward to is .... the next tier of pickaxe.

Standard type character is strongly recommended over hardcore, for all players. It is also recommended that new players start in a normal mode world. Hard mode currently doubles the health and damage of all enemies and bosses, for little to no pay-off.

Pretty much all enemies spawn based on the tiles placed on the ground. If you remove them, enemies won't spawn in that area any longer. Each type of tile spawns different kinds of enemies; you can collect these tiles and place them down elsewhere in order to make monster farms.

Boss order and world exploration are theoretically quite flexible, given this is a sandbox game. There is currently only one solid gate to progress: defeating the first 3 bosses. Which separates this guide into two parts.
